Thai Jason
From Senior Planet Resource Exchange
Thai has been retired since June of 2005. That said, she is now busier than ever. She now works for ReServe, a not-for-profit, that places older adults, using their lifetime acquired skills and experience, into part-time, stipend paying work for not-for-profits ReServe. To visit their website, and to learn more about ReServe or to download an application click here.
Before her retirement she ran a music company for 27 years. It was, and still is, called Crushing Music. Crushing writes music for advertising, stuff like "Just For The Fun Of It, Diet Coke", "The Heartbeat of America, That's Today's Chevrolet", "Sometimes You Feel Like A Nut", to name just a very few. The founder and chief writer of Crushing, Joey Levine, used to say, "We write the songs that make the whole world buy". To learn more about Crushing and to listen to some of their music click here.
Before Crushing Thai had a 12 year career in the Theater. She performed in every possible venue; stage, film, commercials, radio voice-overs, national touring companies, and Broadway.
She, along with her sister, is caregiver for two older relative, her Aunt Ruth, 91 years of age and my Uncle Sonny, 88 years of age.
After retirement she returned to college and earned a certificate in Philanthropy and Fundraising from NYU. She now raises money for Tibetan orphans working through a non-governmental organization (NGO), The Tibet Poverty Alleviation Fund (TPAF). Thai is a student of Tibetan Buddhism. In her copious free time she digs in her garden, hoping one day to call herself a gardener.
