[edit] Online Banking Demo

To get a better idea of what online banking looks like visit this website. In the log-in box on the left side of the page click Demo. You will be provided with a temporary member # and password. The demo is for educational purposes so the money in the account is not real. Take a look around to learn more.

While all online banking websites are different, they will all have similar features and functions.

[edit] Staying Safe While Banking Online

  • Public computers should not be used to access your bank account since several people have access to the computer. Your best bet is to always use your own computer.
  • Unless you ask them to, banks will not send you emails. If you receive an unexpected email from a bank it may be phishing (identity theft) and clicking on any links in that email will take you to a website you do not want to go. If you are unsure about whether an email was from your bank call your bank directly.
  • Remember to always log out when you are finished banking online. That way no one else will have access to your account.
  • Choose secure passwords and change them often (such as every 6 months).
  • Check your account for any unauthorized activity, such as transfers that you did not request. If you notice strange activity on your account call your bank immediately.

[edit] Setting Up Online Banking
