External Link

You can create an external link to a web site outside of SeniorPlanet by putting single brackets around a URL: [http://www.google.com]. To figure out that correct link to a web site:

1. Go to that web site in another browser window.

2. Highlight the whole URL in the address bar of the browser.

3. Click Edit in the menu bar and then click copy in the dropdown bar.

4. Switch back to the SeniorPlanet edit page, find the spot where you want to insert the text, click Edit in the menu bar, and then click paste.

5. Put a single open bracket before the URL and a single closing bracket after the URL.

If you would like to have the link appear with a different name, place a single space between the url and the name words which will become the external link: [http://www.google.com Visit the Google site].
