In addition to the Central Library and the Business Library, the Brookyn Public Library serves the boroughs 2.5 million residents in 58 neighborhood branches and is the fifth largest public library system in the United States. In addition to lending millions of books borrowers can also download best selling titles in e- audio book or e-book format,twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.

In addition to lending millions of books,the library also rents audio and visual materials.Best selling titles can be downloaded twenty four hours,seven days a week.Services for seniors include internet tutorial classes and books by mail for seniors who are homebound and have a print disability. There are special programs and events tailored to a 55+ audience. Author talks,music programs, book discussions and movies are offered at every branch.
