[edit] Overview

A blog, short for "web log," is maintained by an individual or a group in order to provide commentary on news, a specific topic, or it serves as an online journal. Each entry is called a post and may contain text, images, or audio. While you can just read a blog you can also interact with blogs by leaving comments. The comment feature allows you to express your opinion and read the opinion of other readers. Blogs can be a great source of information and expose you to people and ideas that you may not find on other websites. Below are a few blogs written by or geared towards older adults. If you are interested in creating your own blog, SeniorPlanet is a great place to start one. Head over the the Senior Blogs section of SeniorPlanet to start your own blog or read blogs written by other seniors.
