Internet Games

It's nice to play games now and then. In the "olden days" we used to play the board games, like Monopoly, or Candyland, Scrabble, and even Trivial Pursuit, but now-a-days, the board games are on the internet and they are a little more involved. I just recently got involved in some games at Facebook. It's the first time I have played games on the internet, and it has been a lot of fun...but time consuming. I started out with the Farmville game, and then got interested in Country Life, and somehow got caught up in another game. It's fun, but if you aren't careful, it will cost you actual money, or credit card usage. It's not necessary, and I have not done so, but there are things that you might really like to have but can't get if you aren't willing to spend your own money. I imagine it's similar to gambling and if you are not very patient, you could give in to the urge to complete the barn or the stable or whatever it takes to get it done. I'm afraid my barn and stable will remain in the framing stages for a long time! Last night I was in "Country Life" waiting for my cow to make milk and my bees to make honey so I could cash it in (not real cash) and buy some chickens. Well...after I bought the chickens, I needed to feed them, and I didn't have any corn! I had to cash in more milk and honey, and some wheat I was growing, to buy corn to plant so that sometime today I can feed my chickens! Poor chickens are starving in the meantime...but only in cyberspace, so I don't feel too guilty. They also have things you can buy with your credit card, but I am not giving in to them. But...nevertheless, I am hooked! I just hope I have enough time left to do my laundry.
