Women Artists of Harlem and Northern Manhattan

March is National Women's History Month.

In celebration, join an amazing presentation and panel discussion about how women artists have influenced the cultural landscape of Harlem and Northern Manhattan.   Artists from Washington Heights and Harlem, including noted Weusi artist Dindga McCannon, explore the role of these cultural pioneers.

Presented by Harlem Arts Alliance, Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance, Caribbean Cultural Center and Community Works at the Dwyer Cultural Center (DCC).   The DCC is a groundbreaking state-of-the-art multimedia cultural center devoted exclusively to the culture, traditions, and history of Harlem. 

Created in partnership with Community Works and International Communications Association, DCC offers a year-round calendar of activities Live Theater, Music and Dance Performances including:

• Interactive Guided Tours
• In-Depth Conferences, Panels and Symposia
• Documentary and Independent Film Series
• Educational and Community Workshops
