This week, Banished explores the question of land fraudulently taken from three black communities in the U.S. a century ago, and follows some descendants in their quest to uncover the real story of their family's land.
The screenings will be held through June and will feature a special lounge programmed with contemporary music related to the film topic prior to the screening and will be followed by a Q&A session with guest speakers, including filmmakers and community advocates.
