That information about senior healthcare in West Virginia literally leaves me breathless. We in New York need to put more pressure on politicians to improve eldercare in all its variations. It seems as though, with the political paralysis in Washington, D.C., we need to focus locally. But, then, did you see Gail Collins' column in the Sunday (or Saturday) Times? She quoted someone from each of about a dozen states all claiming that theirs is the most screwed up state government. No one mentioned West Virginia.
