Great Article, Bad Title

Here is a link to a great article that was in the New York Times about seniors and their ability, with the Internet, to affect real change in America.  Check it out.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Thanks for the article. I found it quite interesting.

To Unite the Elderly to effect change

From the article from the New York Times "The Geezers' Crusade" of 2/15/2010: (The following may be true because there has been little response to this article) "Developmental psychologists, when they treated old age at all, often regarded it as a period of withdrawal. The elderly slowly separate themselves from the world. They cannot be expected to achieve new transformations. “ But it goes on to say it isn't so, and that the future is in the hands of the elderly. We could change things for the better...but what IS better? What WILL work to save our country from financial ruin? Already the government is planning on laying off hundreds of thousands of teachers. And the health care system planned is considered to bring our doom. That's what the Tea Partyers think, anyway. Daily life is more of a struggle. I believe in God and that's what keeps me positive about the future.

Agreed

David Brooks is currently on my NTHA list (Needs to Turn his Head Around) list for other ageist ideas he has been promulgating. Ageism is the last bias that is still accepted.

Great idea

I don't know if you can ever get to a level of computer sophistication. There is always more to learn. What I would like to know is how do you get people to look at your blog and most importantly READ it!00
