An annual NY tradition since Civil War days, the NYC Easter Parade attracts thousands of New Yorkers to the area around Fifth Avenue from 49th to 57th Streets to see the wonderful displays of Easter bonnets and costumes. From the very moment it kicks off, the streets throng with colour and excitement as participants parade with elaborate bonnets that range from incredible floral displays to those harboring live animals - this really is a sight to behold.
Special Easter services will also be held at St Patrick's Cathedral on 50th Street and 5th Avenue, at St Thomas Church on 53rd Street and 5th Avenue and at the 5th Avenue Presbyterian Church. Times vary.
