“Hair” - The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical

This classic rock musical was a product of the hippie counter-culture and sexual revolution of the 1960s, several of its songs became anthems of the anti-Vietnam War peace movement. Hair tells the story of the "tribe", a group of politically active, long-haired "Hippies of the Age of Aquarius" fighting against conscription to the Vietnam War and living a bohemian life together in New York City. They struggle to balance their young lives, loves and the sexual revolution with their pacifist rebellion against the war and the conservative impulses of their parents and society. SAGE is offering an opportunity for its existing - as well new- members to engage in a series of creative writing classes on Saturday afternoons. A leader in the advocacy community for LGBT seniors, SAGE is the world’s oldest and largest non-profit agency addressing the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender elders. SAGE works with LGBT elders to address and overcome the challenges of discrimination in senior service settings, while also being an essential component in the creation of informal caregiving support, and development of new “family” networks. Fans of the Klezmatics, Frank London and Slavic Soul Party should check out this acclaimed new participant in New York's klezmer scene. So Nu released their self-titled debut in 2008. Alfred Hitchcock's "Lifeboat"

Hitchcock presents nine survivors in a crowded, leaky lifeboat in the mid-Atlantic during WWII. The Oscar-nominated John Steinbeck story features Tallulah Bankhead as a spoiled journalist traveling first class, and Walter Slezak as the resourceful but heartless U-Boat captain.
